I have my first subscriber - yay!  My oldest son, Calvin, has officially subscribed to my blog.  Thanks Cal! He obviously hasn't read all the articles because he hasn't asked for his free cup of coffee and trust me, he would have negotiated for a different drink.  

A little about Cal - - he's a 22 yr. old senior at Mizzou pounding the pavement looking for his first "real" job after graduation.  He's majoring and finance and banking and has excellent references and experience.  He's an overall a very responsible, fun, kind and hardworking young man (yes I raised him but anyone would say that!).  If you know of anyone hiring, please reach out to me or him!  I'd love it if ended up in the Chicagoland area, but he's wiling to travel or move anywhere for the right position.  Thank you!

Like the rest of the country, I watched the Super Bowl last night.  I could have easily just caught the 4th Q and OT, but the ads were at least entertaining.  Below were my favorites: 

1. Volvo because I love Neil Diamond's music so much.
2. Verizon with Beyonce because I love Tony Hale so much (he is SO great in Veep and Arrested Development).
3. Homes.com because I feel I should support a real estate ad.
4. Both NFL and Dove because I love the messages.
5. Wicked because I can't wait for the movie.
6. E-Trade because I love pickleball so much.
7. CeraVe with Michael Cera becasuse I thought it was clever and I like that brand.
